Beach Church Elopement on Brac Island, Croatia
Millie & Will travelled more than 40 hours from Tasmania to get married on Brac Island, Croatia — making them officially the most long-distance couple I have ever photographed!
They originally considered vibrant and crowded Dubrovnik, but in the end chose Brac Island, just a short ferry ride from Split, with its calmer, more laid-back, hidden-gem atmosphere, which perfectly matched their personalities.
After getting ready in the small village of Bobovisca, their intimate beach elopement took place in front of a tiny church on the rocks, tucked into one of the picturesque coves near Milna.
Following a few intense days of strong bura winds and dramatic weather (yes, we were definitely watching the forecast closely!), the wedding day surprised us with sunshine, calm sea and crystal-clear water — good enough for a quick swim just hours before the ceremony.
Fun fact: together with Lada from Weddings Brac Croatia, I also ended up being their wedding witness — a first for me :)
